14th February Library Lovers Day

We had fun doing this display. I gave each teacher a heart template and asked them to write or draw what they loved about the library. I then made them into a heart for the library door. The students can read what the teachers have said while they wait at the door to come in. As well we made some small badges to affix to any book that is about loving the library. If a child borrows the book they get to keep the badge! Some students were so excited about it...funny because they are bits of red paper.

14th February Library Lovers Day

Today was fun! We gave each class a book wrapped in red paper with a card wishing the students and teacher a happy day and suggesting they read the book together. Students and teachers came to thank us and say how much they enjoyed their story. What did I give them? Books set in a library or with a very proactive librarian, of course.
