Sleepovers are quite controversial these days and many students will not experience one until they go on a school camp which in itself can be quite problematic. Perhaps they are better suited to older children, yet as a topic for books they start much earlier. I don't intend to get into the pros and cons of sleepovers here, except to say that they feature in many books for young children. Nearly every series has a book dedicated to the topic of the sleepover, even ones for the very young such as Maisie and Peppa, and the good thing is that they do present some of the issues associated with them.
