I love celebrating birthdays with picture books Many years ago I made a calendar with children's authors and illustrators marked on it. This year I thought I might take that in a different direction as a way of promoting biography reading. The students at my school love the books in the Little People Big Dreams series, so much so that we have given them a special home so that the young readers can find them easily.
I'm thinking of putting a question above them 'Who do you share a birthday with?' or 'Which famous person was born on the same date as you?'
Today, the 8th January three of those books would be on show...
