15th June International Surfing Day

Started in 2005, International Surfing Day (ISD) is an international celebration of the love of surfing for all people to enjoy. The day was established by the Surfrider Foundation and partners to raise awareness and support for our world’s beaches and coastal environments. The ocean makes up most of our planet, and plays a crucial role in our health and survival. Unfortunately this precious resource has been abused by humans for far too long, and now, more than ever, the ocean needs more friends.

There's not a lot of books in our library about surfing, but what we have seems to satisfy the few students who are very keen to surf.
