International Waterfall Day is celebrated every year on June 16th to celebrate the magnificent scenic beauty waterfalls provide. Waterfalls are found all around the world and are incredibly important to the local communities living around them. The cascade of water is not just a wonder for the eyes but they also have a majestic quality to them that’s indescribable.
Waterfalls are not the focus of many picture books, but this one Bear Came Along by Richard T. Morris and LeUyen Pham is a beauty. Students will love the dilemma Bear finds himself in. If you don't have a copy in your library, there are several different readers reading it aloud on Youtube.
