Syd Hoff is best known for his Danny and the Dinosaur, an I Can Read! title that no doubt many children have learned to read with in years gone by as it had its 50th anniversary a couple of years ago. He wrote and illustrated several different books for this series. His website which is maintained by his niece is very comprehensive and says everything far better than I can.
